“A Great Mid-Sized Ventilated Backpack”

The Z40 is the largest of Gregory’s ventilated backpacks featuring the lightweight Crossflow DTS suspension system. For a similar sized camping pack that can handle more weight, scale up to the Gregory Z45 backpack.

This pack is a perfect balance between holding a lot of gear while still being small and easy to store and will fit nicely in airplane or bus overhead storage. It carries a ton of gear and is still easy to compress down to a very small size.

A good amount of storage and pockets allow you to easily organize your gear and the ventilated design eradicates sweaty back problems. Whether on a trek through the hot jungle or a day hike in the alpines, the mesh back on this pack keeps you cool, dry and comfortable.

The lid pocket is perfect for valuables because of the secret underside pocket. Toiletries or other random odds and ends can be stored well in the extremely roomy front pocket and the bottom pocket is great for soft goods like sleeping bag and pillow. The rain cover is fantastic and takes up almost no room. Even stuffed to the brim the side pockets can fit a nalgene.

At around 2500 c.i. it can hold a lot of gear and makes for a great two-day pack that can be used for just about anything.
